Jason and Webb had been partners in crime for years, pulling major heists and benefiting from them all while living in the ‘hood. That is, until an incident he had nothing to do with put him in a place that could change his life forever.
Jason served hard time and when he returned home, the world as he knew it had changed, although some things remained the same. However, his resolve to live a better life legitimately had not. Will he be able to move forward with the resolve to realize his dreams of living legitimately and on his own terms, or will he return to the life of crime he had always known?

Classic is all I can say. I didn't know what to expect from this book because I literally just randomly picked this book up off the shelf, and wow! From the action backed early robberies by Jason and his homeboy WEB to Jason's bid and resurgence this book is guaranteed to keep you hooked. JC Reader doesn't give out 5's for just anything but this is a much read.
If you are used to reading about big time drug dealers or stick up kids who don't have to struggle than this is for you. You will read about a man, Jason , who is at rock bottom and has to stretch a dime into a dollar. He constantly gets knocked down, but he will not give up. I laughed and could feel his happiness when he finally makes it. This books reminds me of Will Smith's Pursuit of Happiness, and just like the movie, this book deserves 5 stars.
I had no ideal I was going to be finished reading this book already. The characters' lifestyles make you a fast reader. You had to know constantly what's up? I was so caught up in the book I had to put my goody two shoes on the back burner. The way Zach Tate wrote this book takes you out of judgment of right and wrong. You just want to live and get the grand prize. All I can say is ladies move over I am in the mix! Turned out and ready to go! Next......
When you take a ride on the wild and dangerous side, karma will ultimately greet you sooner or later. Growing up in the hood is a do or die lifestyle, for Jason and Webb its the only life they knew. Jason lived the life halfheartedly, his main goal was to get a lick good enough to finally move out of the projects. Webb on the other hand lived for the next lick. Stick up kids for life living the do or die lifestyle, until on day everything changes. Jason's unexpected meeting with Zieda, a young Latina from the Bronx changes his whole perspective as she introduces him to the lifestyle he desires. Will his current relationship with Tasha, the around the way hood girl, sustain? Webb is a gold fang bearing beast, ever ready to pounce on the next heist.
Will these stick up kids make it out of the only lifestyle they know?
I found this to be a pleasurable read, although it starts off a little slow it quickly recovers and the pace is a steady thrill. Lost and Turned out is a lost jewel in urban literature, although somewhat graphic it's lessons could last a lifetime. I look forward to reading more of this author.

They have not complained about it, but I've never read it.
If you're looking for a page turner, an "I can't put this down" type of book, read this!!! Jason, oh Jason!!! READ THIS BOOK!!!! 10 STARS......
