I have looked forward to this book since finishing Redemption. Renewal starts where Redemption ended. If you are afraid of the details, this book was much easier for me to read than the first one. It portrays Nova's continual healing and the support provided by Davis and her parents. There is a lot more on Evie and Jared in this book. Her continued trauma due to her victimization; his background as well as his guilt over his role with the traffickers although it was needed to catch them. One thing I found very interesting was how extensive the grasp of traffickers was. They had infiltrators who were in trusted positions that further risked Nova, Evie and their protectors. The author illustrates the emotions of the girls well and the behaviors that result. The story ended on a bit of a cliffhanger so I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. I can highly recommend this book as well as the first one in the series.Product details

As a pastor I get asked to read a lot of books. This series is one that I think is much needed. First because it draws attention to human trafficking and the terrible price it has even on those who escape it. Secondly because it shows that one can heal and overcome any circumstance with the love of God and support from families. I love that we see Nova and Davis return to Australia and that we begin to see Evie's story from her point of view. Even though warned of the cliffhanger nature of this book it still took me by surprise. I can't wait for the next one. I would love to say I loved this book but the subject matter makes it a hard book to admit to loving. However having said that I did find myself drawn in and loving the story line that is unfolding.

Read the first book in the series last week and enjoyed the book immensely. Wonderfully written and sensitive handling of s very tough subject. Purchased book two this morning and already finished it. Another great read! I cannot wait until the next book in the series. Would recommend this series and author.
I truly do love this series. I read Redemption (first of the series) before and this one picked up were Redemption left off. I really enjoyed how we got to see more from Evie's POV in this one and got to get a better feel for where her head is in all of this. And of course you can't leave out Nova and Davis and their story. It is still good to read about their ups and downs. I am looking forward to the next book to see where things go with this foursome.
Another great read by Christina Simpson! I had read Redemption awhile back but read it again before reading Renewal. A very hard subject to deal with, my heart just broke for Nova and Evie. This series has opened my heart up to the reality of human trafficking, a horrible, despicable crime, but also how Gods precious grace can heal and put life back on track. Looking foward to book 3!
This writer has a beautiful way of sharing a story. I absolutely love her work and can't wait to read more from her.
First off I have to say that I LOVE this author! She has a way of making you feel apart of whatever story she has written. Renewal is the 2nd book in the Restoration series. Renewal picks up right where Redemption left off. In this book you will see Nova & Davis' relationship grow as they are faced with more obstacles. I also loved that we get a glimpse into Evie's POV to prepare us for book 3. I love the running theme of this book....bad things may happen to you but they don't define you. Every characters journey is different. But this book provides hope that you don't have to stay stuck in you past. Thank you Christina for writing books about difficult subject matters while also providing hope for all.
